Enhancing Mental Health & Community Resiliency in Wood Buffalo
The 2025 Grant Cycle will support programs and initiatives that enhance the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of the Wood Buffalo region, while fostering both individual and community resilience.
Resilience as the Capacity to Adapt and Recover: The ability of individuals, organizations, or communities to withstand stressors or disruption and bounce back—often stronger—through adaptation, recovery, and learning.
Resilience as a Process of Ongoing Well-being: A continuous and dynamic process of maintaining mental, physical, emotional, and social balance, even in the face of prolonged or repeated challenges.
Resilience as Readiness and Resourcefulness: The preparedness to face uncertainty by drawing on inner strengths, supportive networks, and practical tools to navigate hardship and foster long-term sustainability.

Qualified applications will be received for environmental initiative(s) that focus on environmental education; renewable energy, energy conservation, and/or climate change; land, habitat, and wildlife conservation.
Wildfire Prevention and Disaster Relief Grant
Qualified applications will be received for The Wildfire Prevention and Disaster Relief Grant to support projects or programs that focus on wildfire prevention and disaster relief only.
